A Christmas Gift List for Writers

Still haven't done your Christmas shopping? Are you having trouble deciding what you're going to give your writing buddies for Christmas. Or maybe you haven't thought of a gift to yourself yet -- a reward for toiling so hard as a writer in the last 11 months.

Here are some gift ideas for the writers in your life (or the writer in you.

1-Year Subscription to Any Magazine for Writers. Whether you're thinking of giving this to your writer friends or to yourself, consider this gift idea. Check out Writer's Digest for magazine subscriptions.

E-mail or Online Writing Courses/Workshops. Sign up your writing friends or yourself to a writing course scheduled to begin early next year. There are a number of affordable e-mail workshops at The e-Writer's Place's sister site, WritingBliss.com. What better way to start off the New Year than to flex those writing muscles?

Gift Certificates. Order your writing friends gift certificates and let them use it to but whatever they like. At Amazon.com, you'll be able to order gift certificates worth $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100.

E-book Collection. Bundle 3 or more e-books and send it as a gift. Visit BookLocker.com for a wide selection of e-books.

Software for Writers. Many software for writers are now on sale. Purchase one for your friends or yourself. Or you can go to Download.com and search for free productivity tools for writers. Bundle them up, put them on a site, set a download link and tell your writer friends they can download the stuff you found.

Domain Shopping. Why not buy domains for friends that tell them they're writers? Better if the domains you buy them are their names (if they aren't taken yet). There are many domain name registrars where you can purchase domain names per year at very low costs. Create a Holiday E-book. Compile your articles, poetry or essays and personalize each e-book. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat to create PDF files, you can get 3 free conversions at http://create.adobe.com.
